Are You Really Living ON Purpose?

Since creating The Shift – Women ON Purpose event and paying close attention to the insights and inspirations I have received, I realize how vital living ON Purpose is, and how elusive it can be. The word “hard” came to mind, but as a friend and I spoke about it yesterday, “hard” is limiting and gives off the feeling of only being able to achieve it only through blood, sweat and tears.

So why is living ON Purpose elusive? It seems like a rather simple concept. As I sat with this and began doing some deeper work around ON Purpose living, it came to me that we have to be very conscious of our thoughts, our actions, our beliefs and our behaviors – every one! Now, you may be saying, “Christine, I get this and I am conscious of all that”. If you are truly conscious of living ON Purpose every day, every minute of your life, are you receiving all that you want and are your desires manifesting? Are you happy, are you making a difference and are you serving people through your heart and soul? How are your relationships? Are they fulfilling, unconditional, loving, safe and open? How are you feeling physically? Are you energized, healthy and ready to get up and move? How are you feeling spiritually, mentally and emotionally? Are you empowered, excited, connected to your Source and feeling power-filled?

In these questions you will be able to ask yourself the deeper questions and to understand where you are in your process of living ON Purpose.

In the process of living ON Purpose, there are 4 main areas that can help you to understand if you are in alignment.

1. Awareness This is the first step to living ON Purpose. Having awareness of all your thoughts, feelings and beliefs are the only way to see, and understand, where you are in your life right now. And, it’s where you can begin to create your life ON Purpose.

2. Wants and Desires All too often, we think we know what we want in our lives, but these wants and desires end up being needs and wants of someone else – our spouse, our children, our parents, our boss. This is where the difference starts to happen. Take some time to really understand what it is you want and desire in your life – and it’s has to be your wants and desires. It may sound easy, but when you start working on this you’ll realize how much you are doing for other people. Be very specific and very clear about what YOU want and desire in order to live your life ON Purpose.

3. Doubts & Fear Why are we looking at doubt and fear if we are working to live life ON Purpose? Because as you begin to flow into creating your desires and living fully in your life, your subconscious mind is going to kick in and say “Hey, what’s going on? Things are changing and that’s not comfortable for me any more.” We have old teachings, old programming from the time we were very young, that is telling us that we are not meant to be happy, we are not worth it, and who do we think we are “bucking” the system that has been in place for a very long time. The doubts and fears that come up are ego’s way of keeping us in same-old-same-old. If you want to live life ON Purpose, you need to understand the fears that can hold you back, and how to overcome them.

4. Conscious Movement In order for anything to change you need to act on your ideas and your inspirations, otherwise things stay exactly the same. Conscious movement – inspired action – is as ON Purpose as you can get. If you have a desire, take the action to achieve your desire. If you are doing things unconsciously because it’s what you’ve always done – stop! Be very ON Purpose with your conscious movement forward.

We have spent so much of our lives “doing” that we forgot who we are “being” in this lifetime. “Being” is about aligning to your soul-purpose, the reason you are on this planet, and beginning to fulfill your desires. When you decide to live your life ON Purpose, you will see that many things will start to shift and change in order for you to fulfill your vision for you life. When the road gets a little rocky, know that YOU are the one that determines how bumpy or smooth your path will be as you continue on your journey.
